Rumour reaches us that the ConDem government plan to make up the budget deficit by charging admission to the Tommy v Rosie sessions of the Sheridan perjury trial. Then next years’ budget deficit will be covered by an adaptation at the Edinburgh Fringe. It’s hoped that film rights and DVD sales will pay for soldiers in Afghanistan to be able to shoot golden bullets or alternatively, repaint a single Trident missile.
The former MSP Rosie Kane has told the Sheridan perjury trial she went around the Scottish parliament taking bets on the identity of the MSP named in a newspaper as a swinger.
Miss Kane told the court she would be offering odds of 500-1 on it being Tory leader Annabel Goldie. (BBC)
Meanwhile back in the real world, there’s a TUC-called demonstration against the cuts on Saturday 23rd. Edinburgh AF are calling for people to join them on the demo to call for resistance to the cuts to be led from below and across all affected sectors, workers and service users alike.
